Today I started creating a tool to track how many people visit my website each day — and to see how those numbers change from day to day.
What I built:
- A visitor counter: It records every time someone visits my site.
- Daily stats: It keeps track of how many visitors come today and yesterday.
- Total visitors: It shows the grand total of everyone who has visited since I started tracking.
- Percentage change: It calculates how much visitor numbers have gone up or down compared to yesterday.
How it looks:
The visitor counts appear in two neat boxes right on my website. One box shows today’s visitors and how it compares to yesterday. The other box shows the total visitors overall. I made two versions — one with white text and a purple glow for a cool look, and another with black text on a light background for easier reading.
Why this matters:
Knowing how many people visit my site each day helps me understand how my content is performing and when I get more or fewer visitors. It’s like having a simple scoreboard for my website’s popularity!
